DENVER (KDVR) — Deion Sanders' first season as head coach at the University of Colorado Boulder comes to a close this Saturday. After a historic start to the year when Sanders debuted his Buffaloes in Fort Worth and took home an upset win against TCU, the Buffs have faltered a bit and landed last in the Pac-12 standings. The Buffs lost their fifth game in a row last Friday against Washington State. The Cougars claimed victory over the Buffs with a final score of 56-14 and took away the team's hopes of a bowl game this year. DENVER (KDVR) -- Men are more likely to be killed in a car crash than women in all 50 states, a new study has found, and Colorado is listed among the top 10 deadliest states for male crash victims.Researchers at personal injury law firm Dismuke Law analyzed statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to determine how more likely it is for men to be killed in a collision than women. After analyzing the data, researchers were able to establish a ratio of male to female deaths per 100,000 licensed drivers over that five-year period. A man was given the gift of life and was able to get the chance to meet his life saver.A stem-cell donor and recipient were honored at the Amerant Bank Arena during Hockey Fights Cancer night in Sunrise, Monday.Owen Hern said that he was just doing a good deed with his college friends in 2018. Little did he know, he was saving the life of of William Anderson, who was battling leukemia.“I was in college at the time, my entire fraternity was getting swabbed together, I didn’t really think much of it at the time,” Hern said. “And then a couple years later, I get an email that I was potentially a match.”“And actually, the crazy thing is, I was only on the list for like a month and they found a perfect match, and here I am,” Anderson said.The match was made possible by the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Registry.Teen coach arrested for child molestation at Miami after-school camp

DENVER (AP) — Authorities say they have captured the man accused of shooting three people dead over a years-long property dispute in rural Colorado.The Custer County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday afternoon that they have the suspect, Hanme K. Clark, in custody. They did not immediately release additional details.The shooting took place on the property line in a wooded area on Monday. The local sheriff had said that two men and a woman died at the scene of the shooting, in a rural area about 50 miles (80 kilometers) southwest of Colorado Springs.Clark had eluded law enforcement since Monday. A record number of travelers are expected to fly to their destinations this Thanksgiving season.
