Was there social anxiety?”“A little bit, but that goes away pretty quickly,” Robins answered, “and whenever you experience anxiety it’s what…?”“An opportunity to practice!” the class shouted in unison. On this day, the thought-provoking, free-flowing class discussion will bounce from Seinfeld to stage fright to the properties of gravity. ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — For the second straight outing, A’s rookie pitcher Shintaro Fujinami was nearly flawless for the first couple of innings. For the second straight time, though, he quickly ran into trouble that led to a lopsided Oakland defeat. On Saturday, Fujinami took a no-hitter into the fourth inning before things fell apart as Tampa Bay scored five runs off him on its way to an 11-0 victory. In roughing up Fujinami, the Rays (8-0) extended Major League Baseball’s best start in 20 years behind Jeffrey Springs’ seven innings of three-hit ball and Randy Arozarena’s four RBIs.Fujinami (0-2) allowed five runs, three hits, four walks and hit a batter over 4 1/3 innings in his second major league start. The right-hander didn’t allow a hit until Wander Franco’s infield single with one out in the fourth.Related ArticlesOakland Athletics | Streaking Rays chase Waldichuk, make Athletics their latest victim Oakland Athletics | ...H-1B court ruling: Work-ban cloud lifts for Bay Area spouses after years of fear

A recent court ruling upholding the employment rights of Bay Area residents who hold a special visa for spouses of skilled foreign workers has relieved long-standing uncertainty aggravated by the pandemic and the Trump administration.Late last month, a federal court judge threw out a lawsuit that sought to strip work authorization from an estimated 90,000 visa holders. These H-4 visa holders, the spouses of those with H-1B work visas, are mostly women from India, with a large contingent in the Bay Area.“When this case was going on,” said Pratima Joglekar, an assistant in an immigration-law firm, who lives in Fremont, “it was like a cloud hanging over our heads.”That cloud, with its potential to dramatically disrupt lives and careers, also gave employers pause, visa holders said, and the end of the court case has increased H-4 workers’ employability and added a measure of certainty for companies that invest in hiring and training them.Since 2015, shortly...They said it: Drug trafficker hiding in plain sight?
