Video captured a mama bear and her two cubs enjoying a summer day of activities in Sierra Madre on Tuesday.The bears were first spotted near Nano Café located at 322 W Sierra Madre Blvd. around noontime, witnesses said.The trio were seen roaming around town before jumping into a pool to enjoy a refreshing dip at an apartment complex.They later climbed a few trees in the area before sniffing around a few front gardens before heading back home towards the mountains.As the summer months heat up, bear sightings will be more common for humans who like to spend time outdoors.Video captured a mama bear and her two cubs enjoying a summer day of activities in Sierra Madre on August 8, 2023. (KRON) -- California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert on Tuesday for a missing man from Los Gatos. Silverio Blanco, 84, was last seen at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Blossom Valley Drive and Pinehurst Avenue in Los Gatos. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans, glasses and a silver watch. He is 5'5" and 120 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is believed to be on foot. (KRON) -- The Petaluma Police Department reported that several skimming devices have been found in the city recently. One device was located by a community member at an ATM. The skimmer was slightly hanging off the ATM's ledge, which is how the person noticed it. Home Depot guard shoots suspected shoplifter in San Carlos PPD's community service members inspected the device and found that it contained a small camera connected to a video card that captured both video and audio. A second incident involved scammers placing a cover on top of a card reader at a retail store. Police said they used this to access stolen card information. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- One hundred San Francisco firefighters are at the scene of a three-alarm fire in the city's Inner Sunset neighborhood. The fire is located at 1279 8th Ave. The San Francisco Fire Department said crews were fighting heavy fire on the second floor of the structure. The fire was originally reported as a one-alarm fire before being upgraded to two alarms. There have been no injuries reported. The fire response has blocked the N Judah Muni line in both directions. The inbound train is turning around at 19th Avenue and Judah Street, and the outbound train is turning at Hillway Avenue and Carl Street. The public is asked to avoid the area of 8th Avenue between Lincoln Way and Irving Street. This is a developing story.
