St. John site officially under development agreement AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The St. John site is officially under a Master Development Agreement contract between the City of Austin and Greystar Development Central, LLC, according to an announcement from the City of Austin Economic Development Department. After 15 years, could Austin’s St. Johns site finally see redevelopment? The Master Development Agreement, or MDA, partnership, which is in collaboration with the Housing Authority of the City of Austin, aims to redevelop the 19-acre, city-owned site into a "vibrant mixed-use, mixed-income community, featuring open spaces and commercial services tailored to enhance the St. John neighborhood," a release from the city stated. Amsterdam woman faces tampering with evidence and drug charges AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Amsterdam Police Department arrested a 36-year-old woman and a wanted person on November 21. Awilda Cortes was charged with tampering with physical evidence, criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. Officers conducted a field interview and took the wanted person into custody.Cortes, a passenger in the vehicle, allegedly tried to discard an object used to consume narcotics. Upon a search of the vehicle, police reportedly located crack cocaine. Cortes was processed at Amsterdam Police headquarters and issued a ticket to Amsterdam City Court at a later date.

(Courtesy photo)In a happy ending that some weren’t expecting, a lost dog was found Friday in East Vail after spending 50 hours alone in cold conditions.Bandit, a 6-year-old terrier mix, had been missing since Wednesday after he could not be located following a rollover crash on Interstate 70, which sent 19-year-old Kate Fritsch to the hospital with a head injury. She received stitches and is doing OK.The dog’s owners — Kate and her father, Kyle Fritsch — had remained optimistic, but were fearing the worst after examining the scene of the accident.
