Two people died and four people were injured overnight Friday into Saturday in three Denver shootings.All three incidents were reported within a couple of hours of each other early Saturday .The first happened in the 4800 block of West Colfax Avenue, Denver police reported about 1:55 a.m. on X.Police later reported two men died in this shooting and two other men were injured but expected to survive. Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide.Police reported the second shooting about 20 minutes later near 17th and California streets. Newly released bodycam footage depicts the moment a woman armed with a kitchen knife was shot and killed by a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy. The video, which was made public by the department on Friday, shows deputies responding to an apartment building in the 2100 block of East Avenue J-8 in Lancaster on Dec. 4 regarding a domestic violence call. A Los Angeles County hospital located the family of a patient who had been hospitalized for more than 10 days and speaks an unknown language.The patient had been at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood after he was found Dec. 17 on the 7600 block of Otis Avenue in Cudahy."I appreciate your sharing the information for us," the hospital said on Dec. 29. "We are glad to have reunited our patient with his family."St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood is asking for the public's help to identify a hospitalized man who speaks an undetermined language. Powerful waves once again thrashed the Northern California coastline Saturday, but to a much lesser extent than seen earlier in the week with high surf and coastal flood warnings getting downgraded by weather officials in the early afternoon.Santa Cruz County beaches were expected to see the biggest waves — potentially as high as 40 feet at some spots — but the swell wasn’t as intense as the storm surge that slammed the area earlier this week, damaging some oceanfront businesses. (KRON) – The High Surf Warning has been downgraded to a High Surf Advisory, according to the National Weather Service. The advisory will last until 10 p.m. on Saturday. According to the National Weather Service, wave heights are on the decline, but conditions remain hazardous with breaking waves of expected 16-20 feet.
