DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver weather forecast for the week ahead looks quiet after the weekend snowstorm. Skies will be mainly sunny with a slow warming trend, which will bring temperatures back to the milder 60s later this week. A small snake got itself tangled in a web of trouble, which was actually a fake spiderweb that was part of a homeowner’s Halloween display. That curious reptile was on the hunt for something caught in there but wound up getting tangled himself.Halloween festivities took an unexpected turn when a Florida black racer snake was found trapped in fake spiderweb decorations“We got a call about a snake that was found entangled in what looked like spider webbing, and so my co-worker went to check it out and could not entangle it on site, so brought him back, and it was discovered to be entangled in the fake Halloween webbing that people put out for decoration,” said Yaritza Acosta with Pelican Harbor Seabird Station. It happened at a Miami Shores home near Northeast 99th Street and Fourth Avenue. A lockdown at Boyd Anderson High School was lifted after deputies found no credible threat in regards to reports of a student potentially armed with a weapon on campus. Shortly before 3 p.m., Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a possible gun on campus at Boyd Anderson High School. In response, Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputies, along with detectives from BSO’s Threat Management unit, responded to the scene located at 3050 NW 41st Street in Lauderdale Lakes. According to officials with Broward County Public Schools, the situation initially began as a student threatening to harm themselves while on school grounds. In an abundance of caution, the school was placed on lockdown soon after dismissal around 3:30 p.m. while detectives from BSO’s Threat Management unit conducted their investigation.BSO deputies have completed the search for any weapons on campus and there was no student in distress.Boston College looks to make some noise at Syracuse

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego Fire-Rescue crews are fighting a multi-acre brush fire that broke out near the Interstate 15 through Rancho Bernardo.The fire was reported just before 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Escala Drive and Chretien Court, SDFD said in an incident report.As of 3:30 p.m., five acres of brush had been burned and it appears to be holding at that size. According to SDFD, flames are moving at a slow rate of spread, but there is heavy fuel in the area.10 homes have been evacuated near the brush fire, as well as one condo complex of six units, SDFD said. However, all were done so out of an abundance of caution. No structures are considered threatened at this time.A total of 52 personnel have been assigned, including five engines and two helicopters. Toronto police are searching for a male suspect after a woman was stabbed and seriously injured in the city’s downtown core. Authorities were called to Granby Street and Church Street just after 6 p.m. on Monday for reports of a stabbing.Toronto paramedics tell CityNews 680 that a woman was discovered with stab wounds and rushed to a trauma centre in serious but stable condition. A male suspect fled the scene.The victim is an adult woman.
