The teenage girl who died after prosecutors say she was intentionally run over during a fight between two groups of people in downtown Forest Lake early Sunday loved animals and dreamed of becoming a veterinarian.Darisha Tela Bailey Vath, 17, of Stacy, Minn., died after she was struck by a Mazda 3 driven by Dylan Robert Simmons, 20, of North Branch, around 1:20 a.m. Sunday, according to Capt. LATHAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Hudson Boulders is set to open in the former Kmart building at 195 Troy Schenectady Road in Latham. The gym hopes to open in the fall, by September 1. It's a bouldering gym, which is a form a free climbing on small rock formations or artificial rock walls without ropes or harnesses. FONDA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Amsterdam woman was sentenced to the maximum of two terms of 2-4 years in state prison to run concurrently. Jacquinn Tanner, 38, was convicted of grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, and identity theft. Tanner was caught on surveillance footage finding and using someone's debit card left in a credit card payment machine at Kennedy's Fried Chicken at the Riverfront Center in Amsterdam. Tanner also took a picture of the card and shared the photo with another individual. The second individual was convicted in Fulton County of stealing $1,300 from the account.Tanner's criminal history includes convictions for grand larceny and welfare fraud, in addition to six prior misdemeanor convictions. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The City of Saratoga Springs is celebrating the opening of the new skate park at East Side Recreation Park on July 20. The Saratoga Springs Skate Park was built in 1989 and was the first municipal skate park in New York. The skate park has now been transformed into a brand new, modern, poured-in-place concrete park. FLORISSANT, Mo. - Two women face felony charges after they allegedly used pepper spray on a Target employee in Florissant to steal several items. St. Louis County prosecutors have charged Kenecia Smith, 27, and Janielle Phillips, 33, with multiples felonies in the robbery. Both are also accused of speeding away from police with a child in their car after the theft. Police say Smith's 6-year-old son was with them inside the store. When approached by a Target staff members, one of the two took out pepper-spray and used it on the employee. Florissant police promptly tried to stop both women in the parking, but they took off quickly. Troubled insurer Friday Health will shut down in Colorado months earlier than anticipated, and its customers can start buying new coverage in August.Friday ran into financial trouble in all seven states where it sold individual health insurance coverage, and is already in liquidation in most.
